  • Moisture intrusion on brick

    Grading and Drainage

    As a rule of thumb, grading must slope away from the foundation to permit proper drainage. Pooling or ponding water against the foundation tends to cause differential movement - cracks in brick, cracks in caulk/drywall joints, doors and windows that stick or drag.
